Meet Carl Rimi

Carl Rimi has dedicated over 30 years to the art of stand-up comedy, consistently finding ways to entertain and engage audiences with his unmatched humor and witty storytelling. A pivotal segment of his career—spanning nearly a decade—was devoted to performances on cruise ships worldwide, a unique and enriching experience he humorously notes has led to his observation that "everyone has seen me, but no one knows my name." Throughout his time on those floating stages, he encountered a multitude of personalities and cultural backgrounds, which not only enriched his comedic repertoire but also deepened his love for the craft. After concluding his tenure in the cruise circuit in 2013, he embraced the shift to full-time land-based comedy, where the laughter could resonate in more intimate settings while simultaneously exploring opportunities in filmmaking. Although comedy remains his core foundation, Carl’s on-camera appearances evolved naturally from his stage experiences, allowing him to showcase his versatile talent in diverse formats. He has taken on lead and supporting roles in various feature films, showcasing his dynamic range, and over 50 commercials, each moment further marking his footprint in the entertainment industry, subsequently venturing into writing and producing original content that reflects his unique perspective and experiences in life. His journey through the comedic landscape is not just a testament to his talent, but also to his relentless pursuit of excellence in every performance and project he undertakes.

In 2021, he wrote, produced, starred in, and co-directed the psychological horror film iPossessed, a project conceived from the same DIY ethos that has characterized his stand-up career.
Alongside his filmmaking endeavors, Carl continues to engage in stand-up performances and is preparing for the release of his comedy special Remember When, set to debut in 2026. This special reflects on nearly three decades of comedic experience, offering insights that only time—and numerous less-than-stellar performances—can yield. Currently, Carl is filming the television comedy series Mid-Life College, a project he both wrote and stars in. The narrative follows three lifelong friends in their forties who return to college to participate in football for the least successful Division III team in the nation, pursuing old ambitions while evading the responsibilities of adulthood.

Whether on stage or screen, Carl Rimi’s work is imbued with genuine lived experience, self-deprecation, and a distinctive brand of humor cultivated through perseverance and self-awareness in his craft. His unique perspective and rich storytelling not only entertain but also resonate deeply with audiences, leaving a lasting impression of authenticity and insight.
